About Us
We’re building CrewVision, a dispatch and mapping platform for companies that manage snow removal and landscape crews. Our mission is to help growing field service businesses operate like the big guys — without losing the high-margin, high-quality jobs that made them successful.
Our product team is based in Toronto, and our full-time developers are in India. Design has been handled by agencies and part-time contributors — now we’re hiring our first full-time, in-house designer to own product design end-to-end.
What You’ll Own
This is a product design ownership role — not a pixel-pushing service gig. You’ll be responsible for everything visual and user-facing in our product:
Collaborate with our product team (wireframes, user needs, problem framing)
Design end-to-end UX: flow, screens, states (error, loading, empty, success)
Handle mobile + web, modals, transitions, and interactions
Maintain a clean, scalable Figma system (organized files, components, naming)
Manage your own design backlog and roadmap
Collaborate with devs for accurate, efficient handoff
Reference and migrate legacy Adobe XD files during onboarding
Spot design gaps, UX friction, or inconsistencies — and propose improvements proactively
Leverage modern tools and AI to ship faster and smarter
What We Value
We believe great design is a force multiplier
We move fast and don’t over-plan — you need to stay useful even when direction is fuzzy
We like things clean, clear, and fast — and expect you to figure out what matters
We care more about impact and clarity than Dribbble-style polish
You don’t need permission to make something better — just show us
Tools We Use
Figma (and expect you to set up our full design system)
Adobe XD (for some legacy file reference)
Slack, Zoom, Notion, Loom for async work
Bonus: experience with Framer, Webflow, or AI-enhanced tooling
Requirements
3+ years of experience in UI/UX or Product Design (or equivalent portfolio)
Portfolio that shows real product work — not just visuals
Strong English communication (written and spoken)
Experience collaborating with remote development teams
Comfortable managing your own design workflow, timeline, and scope
Familiarity with Adobe XD and Creative Cloud (for migration)
Bonus: experience with mapping, dispatch, logistics, or scheduling tools
⚠️ No pixel-pushers. We want a partner who can think, own, and deliver — not just someone waiting for tasks.
Remote Culture + Travel
We work across time zones (Toronto, India)
You’ll need 4 hours/day of overlap with Toronto or India
You’ll have the chance to travel to Toronto or India 1–2 times per year for product strategy or design sprints (we’ll cover travel costs)
How to Apply
Send us:
Your portfolio
A short message about a product you helped bring to life
Your location, timezone, and compensation expectations
Bonus: send a Loom video walking through your favorite design decision
We care more about what you’ve designed than how long you’ve been doing it. If you’ve shipped great product work and know how to explain it, we’d love to talk — even if you don’t check every box.
Our Hiring Process
We aim to keep our hiring process clear, respectful of your time, and focused on finding a great mutual fit. Here’s what you can expect:
Application Review
All applications will be reviewed for relevant experience, portfolio quality, communication, and alignment with the role.
Initial Interview
Selected candidates will have a first-round interview focused on past work, collaboration style, and design thinking.
Paid Test Project
Finalists will complete a short, real-world design task. This is a paid project and helps us assess execution, process, and attention to detail.
Final Interview
Candidates who complete the test will be invited to a final interview to discuss product vision, ownership expectations, and long-term fit.
We value clarity, proactivity, and ownership. If that sounds like you, we’re excited to hear from you.
