Designer and Production Assistant

Position Overview: We’re seeking a talented and versatile Designer/Production Assistant to join our team. In this role, you’ll work to support a wide range of design projects/clients. This is a great opportunity to build your portfolio while collaborating with a team that values fresh ideas and high-quality work.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist with the conceptualization and execution design projects
Revise and refine designs based on client and team feedback
Create original designs tailored to client needs
Prepare files for production
Operate and maintain plotters and large format printers (Onyx software)
Handle printing and color matching to ensure final output quality
Collaborate with project managers and others to meet deadlines
Read and interpret blueprints and plans for production and installation
Work on projects related to interior design, signage, and fabrication
Perform vinyl work and laminating as needed
Collaborate in fabrication work and assembly of signage and displays
Stay up to date with design trends, tools, and best practices
Show willingness to be trained and to learn new skills as needed
Qualifications:
Proven experience in graphic design
Familiarity with interior design projects and sign shop workflow
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator)
Experience using plotters and large format printers (especially with Onyx software)
Skills in vinyl work, laminating, and basic fabrication
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and plans
Strong visual sense and attention to detail
Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Experience with printing and color matching processes
Willingness to be trained and learn on the job and to travel when necessary, mostly in Southeast
