3D Blender Artist DIY Miniatures (Asia)
We're expanding our remote designer roles in the Asia region and the expected working hours will be 9am-6pm in (GMT+8) timezone. We're looking for a creative 3D Artist whom has interest in DIY Wooden/Plastic miniature dollhouses & dioramas. Artwork could be similar or relevant to Lego, essentially miniatures model made for DIY purposes. This role will require the individual to communicate with our counterparts across the globe to work on ideas and directions.Â
About the 3D Artist position
We are seeking a talented and experienced 3D Artist to bring our designs to life through intricate 3D modeling and visual artistry. In this role, you will work on a variety of creative projects, including product models, environments, textures, and illustrations, utilizing industry-standard tools such as Blender, Photoshop, and Substance Painter. Your contributions will shape the visual identity of our products and enhance user experiences.
You should have a strong background in 3D modeling, texturing, and visual storytelling, with an eye for detail and high-quality design, and most importantly, you have a sense of creativity to create fun and wonderful products for our customers to build. You will work closely with our design and creative teams to deliver high-impact visual solutions for our products.
3D Artist responsibilities are:
Collaborate with the design team to interpret project briefs and develop 3D concepts, models, and textures.
Create high-quality 3D models, environments, and textures using Blender and other industry-standard tools.
Develop and implement detailed textures and materials using tools like Substance Painter.
Create and refine illustrations and visual assets that align with project objectives.
Present rough drafts, iterations, and final models to team members for feedback.
Revise models and designs based on feedback, ensuring the final output meets project requirements and timelines.
Ensure that all 3D work adheres to technical specifications, visual style guidelines, and deadlines.
Work closely with other artists, designers, and stakeholders to ensure cohesive and polished results.
3D Artist requirements are:
2+ years of experience in 3D modeling, texturing, and illustration, with a strong portfolio showcasing your work.
Proficiency in Blender, Photoshop, Substance Painter, and other relevant 3D and design software.
Strong understanding of 3D modeling principles, texturing, lighting, and rendering.
Creative flair with the ability to conceptualize and execute original designs.
Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to manage time effectively and meet project deadlines.
