Senior Web Designer

We are seeking a talented and creative Senior Website Designer to join our design agency on a contract basis. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of user experience (UX) and user interface (UI) principles, and be proficient in designing visually appealing and functional websites. You will collaborate with developers, marketing teams, and other stakeholders to create engaging online experiences that align with our brand and business objectives.

Responsibilities:

• Design and Develop Website Concepts: Create visually appealing and user-friendly website designs, including wireframes, mockups, and prototypes.

• User Interface (UI) Design: Design intuitive and engaging user interfaces that enhance the user experience.

• User Experience (UX) Design: Conduct user research, analyze user behavior, and implement UX best practices to optimize website usability and accessibility.

• Responsive Design: Ensure websites are responsive and adapt seamlessly across various devices and screen sizes.

• Visual Design: Create and maintain visual design elements, including typography, color palettes, and imagery, consistent with brand guidelines.

• Collaboration: Collaborate with developers, content creators, and marketing teams to ensure design integrity and successful website implementation.

• Stay Updated: Stay up-to-date with the latest web design trends, technologies, and best practices.

• Website Maintenance: Assist in the maintenance and updates of existing websites.

• Design Software Proficiency: Utilize design software such as Adobe XD, Figma, Sketch, or similar tools.

• Present and Explain Designs: Present design concepts and rationale to stakeholders and incorporate feedback.

• Optimize for SEO: Design websites with SEO best practices in mind.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Web Design, Graphic Design, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).

• Experience: 5+ of professional experience in website design.

• Portfolio: A strong online portfolio showcasing your website design skills and experience.

• Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript (basic understanding is often sufficient, but varies by company).

  • 5+ Years of Experience using Figma with Prototyping knowledge and capabilities.

  • Experience with content management systems (CMS) such as WordPress, Webflow, or similar platforms.

  • Knowledge of responsive design principles and mobile-first development.

  • Familiarity with web accessibility guidelines (WCAG).

  • Experience with version control systems like Git is a plus.
