Web and Digital Media Manager II - Labor Grade 112 / Pay Range: $20.57 - $28.99

Web and Digital Media Manager III - Labor Grade 113 / Pay Range: $21.44 - $30.22

 

*Position may be filled at the Web and Digital Media Manager I or II (111 or 112) and retains promotion potential to Web and Digital Media Manager III, Labor Grade 113

SUMMARY

The Web and Digital Media Manager (Graphic Designer) oversees all design projects, manages social media profiles, and ensures high quality digital strategies that align with Ascension Parish Government’s objectives. Graphic Designer I and II positions are designed to train and develop the incumbent in preparation for career advancement to the full performance level, which is Graphic Designer III. Employees selected at the developmental level have non-competitive promotion potential to the full performance level, Graphic Designer III.

 

MAJOR DUTIES

·         Manages the design and development of websites, digital media projects, and marketing materials

·         Creates visually appealing and effective digital media content for various platforms and audiences

·         Oversees social media strategies and monitors performance metrics

·         Implements Search Engine Optimization (SEO) best practices and optimizes digital content for search engines

·         Collaborates with senior leadership to align digital strategies with business objectives

·         Any other duties as assigned

 

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

Full Performance Level Minimum Qualification Requirements – Labor Grade 113

  • Education and Education: A bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university in graphic design, web design, or a related field and (1) year of directly related experience, or

  • Combined Secondary Education and Experience: (5) years combined progressively higher-level education (post high school) leading to an associate’s or bachelor’s degree and directly related experience, or

  • Experience: (5) years directly related experience.

 

Developmental Level Minimum Qualification Requirements – Labor Grade 112

  • Combined Secondary Education and Experience: (3) years combined progressively higher-level education (post high school) leading to an associate’s or bachelor’s degree and directly related, or

  • Experience: (3) years directly related experience.

 

Developmental Level Minimum Qualification Requirements – Labor Grade 111

  • Combined Secondary Education and Experience: (1) year combined progressively higher-level education (post high school) leading to an associate’s or bachelor’s degree and directly related, or

  • Experience: (1) year directly related experience.

*Official transcripts are required upon appointment if utilized to meet qualification requirements.

 

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, or REGISTRATIONS

·         The incumbent is subject to a pre-employment physical and drug test with random drug testing thereafter.
